Sugar Bowl Challenge 61

Hi, I'm back after a soggy weekend caravaning in a field! My entry for the latest Sugar Bowl challenge. I enjoyed this one! The stamp I used is Sugar Nellie First Dance. The theme was weddings/love. I added some flower soft to the bouquet and headdress. Also added some glitter to veil and dress frill. I used pastels to colour the image. I cut three strips of pale pink card, using a border die, I added some hearts on vellum strips to this. I covered a doily with versamark ink and sprinkled silver embossing powder on, then heat embossed. Cut two swirls and added with the flowers and then added a sentiment. Hope you like!

Wednesday 8th June

Hi,
Well I'm slowly slotting back in! I've had a lazy day but still managed to make a couple of cards! One for a commission and one for the sugar nellie Facebook weekly challenge. I also took a picture of the sympathy card I made.
So firstly a card for a 70yr Mum's Birthday. I used one of the hunkydory window cards.

Pictures were difficult to take as the acetate in the windows reflected
but the verse was repeated inside.

This one had to be monotone, so I chose to use ivory to gold.
The flower was made using spellbinders peony set. The plaque and swirls were marrianne dies. Stamp is "Coffee Time" from sugar nellie.

This was the sympathy card for last week.
That's it for now. I hope to have my sugar bowl challenge card made tomorrow!

Tuesday 7th June

Hello,
Well it was a sad day...the rain stopped and the sun came out for Carolines funeral. She was 44 yrs old and had spent her life looking after her mum (who died 2006) and dad. She was cheeky, sometimes huffy, loved life. Travelled to far awy places and tried different pursuits. She was a close friend to my big brother and will be sadly missed.

So, I dont feel I have it in me to say much more today....So I'll drop by tomorrow. TTFN!

Sunday 5th June

Hi
No cards today. I've been busy baking and doing the usual household chores! I do need to make a sympathy card and two special birthday cards...so I'm having a craftroom day tomorrow. Much better than a duvet day!! Tuesday I have a sad day, with a funeral in Wales of a friend aged 44. So sad when someone dies young. I'll try and drop by tomorrow. Have fun, whatever you may be doing!

Saturday 4th June

Hello
It's been a little hectic here for a couple of days...Cindy had managed to pick up a tick while we were on holiday, and yesterday could not put her foot down. A trip to the vet today, to have it removed...and oh did she squeal! Bless! She's now feeling very sorry for herself and being a drama queen!

Ever onwards... a couple of cards from me. The pictures aren't very good though.
This one is a gate folded easle card. Using two stamps from Tickled Pink stamps. The word was cut using a cricut expression. Coloured in with promarkers.
This is a book card. Each page has an added image to build up an overall sceen. Coloured using pastels. Added glitter!

That's all folks!

Thursday 2nd June

HiThis is a special day! I've gone right outside my comfort zone and made a card using TORN papers!
I even made two cute torn paper flowers....
I've sat on my swing seat in my garden, with three little dogs for company. The sun has shone and it has been a lovely day. So, I hope my card catches that mood!
I've used some 12 x 12 polka dot paper from K & Co, some Coredinations white wash card. Two large brads and some satin ribbon. The image is stamped directly onto the white wash card and coloured with pastels. The stamp is Vintage Boutique, which I thought went well with the vintage/distressed effect.
I hope you like it! See you tomorrow.
